Regional Australia is so much stronger for having diverse, creative communities. Become a champion of regional Australian photography and support this year's Galah Regional Photography Prize.
I'm hoping you or your business might consider becoming a Patron of the Arts sponsor for our upcoming Galah Regional Photography Prize.
We're asking for acquisitive pledges of $6000 towards this project which is focused entirely on amplifying regional photographers. This is not a money-making project for Galah. It takes up a lot of our resources. But we do it because we believe it's important and has real impact.
Regional Australia thrives with diverse, creative communities. We want artists to live in our regional communities, to tell our stories, to make beautiful work, to create the cultural vibrancy that might draw other people into the town – like the doctors and teachers we are crying out for. Diverse, creative communities are strong communities.
This prize – and its significant $27,000 prize money – signals just how serious we are about supporting artists who call regional Australia home.
I'm now inviting you or your business to join us.
Annabelle Hickson
The Galah Regional Photography Prize celebrates the exceptional talent of photographers from regional Australia. As a Patron of the Art Sponsor, you or your business will play a pivotal role in supporting these artists while enhancing your own collection with museum-quality photography.
Your sponsorship is acquisitive, in that it allows you to choose one work from the exhibition. The works vary in price from $500 - $5000, but your pledge is fixed at $6000. The difference in value between your pledge and the retail price directly supports the sustainability of the Prize and future opportunities for regional artists.
Only 10 Patrons of the Arts positions are available for the 2025 Prize.
